"We got our dog, Iris, a 50-pound Husky-Brittany mix, from the city animal shelter. While Iris was there, she was silent and terrified. Once we had her home, we found out she could bark and had  A LOT of energy. She chewed on everything, pulled like a sled dog when we tried to walk her, jumped up on everybody, and didn’t know any basic commands. We were worried she’d never be calm enough to be a good family dog.

A friend got us in touch with Jean, who has been a tremendous resource. Jean was always calm and confident around Iris, which almost immediately made Iris behave better. She helped us teach Iris not to jump, and to sit, to shake, and lie down. Jean gave us multiple strategies to help curb her bad habits, such as chewing on furniture and harnesses and digging in the backyard. Jean listened without judgment, was optimistic about Iris’ ability to improve and was consistently patient with Iris and us.

I was most impressed with how Jean worked with our then-13-year-old son, who was clearly nervous about being alone with Iris when she got rambunctious. Douglas now is very comfortable with Iris, and loves showing off her tricks. Jean is knowledgeable, honestly enjoys helping solve dog behavior issues and helping people understand their canine family members."

"Jean is wonderful with dogs and with people. She is very thorough, and really took time to listen to our concerns and to assess Lucy.

Jean's calm, warm personality puts everyone at ease and Lucy was very responsive to her. Best of all, Jean left us with instructions we could easily follow and made us feel more confident about working with Lucy."
